Course Summary
People choose to study Mathematics for a whole variety of reasons, from’ I love mathematics’ to ‘I need A level mathematics in order to follow a specific career path’. Mathematics is well respected by employers and a ‘facilitating' subject for entry to higher education.
Course Details
In Year 12
You will extend what you learnt at GCSE with more algebra, trigonometry, vectors and statistics. You will also learn about calculus and mechanics.
In Year 13
You will continue to study these topics in greater depth

Entry requirements
To join BG6, you must achieve five or more GCSE grades 4 or above. These must include a minimum GCSE grade 4 in English Language or Literature and Mathematics and also meet the specific subject entry requirements for courses you are interested in.
SPECIFIC SUBJECT REQUIREMENTS:
GCSE Grade 6 in Mathematics. It is important that you have a good understanding of algebra before you start the A level Mathematics course.
