How will it be delivered and assessed?
Assessment will occur continually throughout the programme. You will have unit assignments to complete and will be assessed on your practical and coaching ability. You will also have time-constrained assignments as well as oral presentations. You are also required to undertake externally set and moderated assignments which will compromise a number of written tasks. Each individual unit and the full award are graded at pass, merit or distinction level.
Entry requirements
- You will require five GCSEs at grade 5 or above including GCSE Science, English and Maths.
- An active involvement in sport and a good general level of fitness are also essential.
- You will also be required to complete a favourable interview. As your studies will involve you working with children, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (formerly known as Criminal Record Bureau check).
