Fashion and Textiles Level 2 Foundation T Level (FFAS)

The T Level, foundation year, (Level 2 award) serves as the crucial foundation year designed to prepare students for the more advanced Level 3 T Level.

Throughout this preparatory year, students will be introduced to the fundamental concepts and skills essential for a career in fashion.

The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including fashion illustration, which involves drawing and visualizing clothing designs, marketing tailored to the fashion industry, pattern cutting techniques used to create garment pieces and sewing skills necessary for garment construction in our industry standard design, cutting and sewing rooms.

To ensure you are thoroughly prepared for the demands of the Level 3 T Level Fashion and Textiles, the program includes a series of mock exams. These exams are strategically scheduled throughout the year to assess your understanding and application of the material, providing you with valuable practice and feedback. This rigorous approach helps to build a solid foundation, equipping you with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in your future studies and careers in the fashion industry.

You will be assessed on a series of coursework, mock exams and practical skills.

You will need to hold four GCSEs at grade 4 or above.

This course is designed to support and prepare students to progress to Level 3 T Level Fashion and Textiles.
