Business: Legal Services T Level (FBMS)

Our T Level in Legal Services is a two-year, technical study programme, designed with employers to give you the skills required in industry.

T Levels are an alternative to A Levels and apprenticeships. They combine classroom theory, practical learning and a minimum 315 hours of industry placement with an employer to make sure students have real experience of the workplace.

You will develop the core knowledge and skills that are needed for entry to a range of occupations in Legal Services.

You will learn about the following topics:

• The business environment
• Careers within legal professions
• Industry regulations
• Professionalism and ethics/equality, diversity and inclusion
• Security and risk
• Professional services
• Fundamentals of law
• Fundamentals of financial accounting
• Sector-relevant technology
• Data driven innovation/analytics and design thinking
• Research skills
• Project/change management and administration
• The Legal Services sector

You will be assessed by completing a written examination and an externally set project.

• A minimum of five GCSEs including English and Maths at GCSE grade 4 or above.
• Must be below the age of 18 at time of enrolment.

You could progress onto university-level study including Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs), a Higher Apprenticeship or degree or go straight into employment. Potential job roles after studying this course could include:

• Court Usher
• Legal Secretary
• Paralegal
