Course Summary
This course is ideal if you want to work within the accountancy or payroll sector. It will provide you with a broad understanding of the accounting industry and allow you to gain the underpinning knowledge and skills required to enter employment, an apprenticeship or progress onto higher-level study.
T Levels combine technical knowledge, practical skills specific to accountancy and an industry placement, which equips you with the knowledge and skills employers are looking for, along with real experience of the workplace. You will spend 80% of your time in the classroom and 20% on a 45-day industry placement.

- Fundamentals of financial accounting
- Fundamentals of law

- Preparing computations for payroll
- Preparing primary financial statements
- Producing and analysing a trial balance

How will it be delivered and assessed?
The Core Component will be assessed by two externally set exams and a project validated by employers in the industry. The Occupational Specialism is assessed by a project that is created in conjunction with relevant employers.
Entry requirements
You will need to hold GCSE English and Maths at Grade 5 or above plus five other GCSEs at grade 4 or above.
