Course Summary
This qualification has been designed to introduce you to the health and social care sector. You will investigate health, wellbeing and social care and consider how the society we live in influences our behaviour and approach to wellbeing.
You will develop your English and Maths skills and use these to complete a health-related project of your choice.
You will develop knowledge and awareness of the skills required for progression within this area.

How will it be delivered and assessed?
You will be continually assessed on this programme through a wide variety of course work, which may take several forms e.g. an essay, a report, a presentation, and/or group work. Although there is no formal end examination, you will need to complete and achieve a minimum of a pass grade for all your assignment work to be awarded the Level 1 Introduction to Health and Social Care.
Entry requirements
- Three GCSEs at grade 2 including English
- You will also require a good reference from school
- Students will normally take part in an interview prior to being enrolled on the programme.
