Course Summary

This course covers essential health and safety practices in construction. Students will learn how to prepare surfaces and apply finishing coats, understand building construction fundamentals, and develop skills in plastering, fixing dry lining, and producing components from moulds. The curriculum also includes planning, organising, and pricing construction work, alongside running in-situ moulds, equipping students for a construction career.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Throughout the study programme your work will be assessed for a Pass, Merit or Distinction grade. Achieving this Diploma means that you have reached the standards expected by the industry.

Entry requirements

This course is for 16-18 years olds. Successful completion at Level 1 Bricklaying Diploma OR, you must hold GCSE English and Maths. One of these qualifications must be a minimum Grade 2 and the other must be a minimum Grade 3.

Upon completion, you could progress onto a Level 3 Plastering T Level or Plastering Apprenticeship.
