Course Details

How will it be delivered and assessed?
There will be practical observations and assessments and written coursework assignments that will be submitted in your final portfolio.
Entry requirements
- Attend a taster day. The dates for the taster days will be shared at your interview.
- Independent Study Task (set at interview)
- Complete, at least Module 1 of the Food Standards Agency’s Food Allergy and Intolerance Training.
- Submit a completed work placement proposal form. This will be provided at your interview.
- GCSE Grade 4 or above in English Language and Maths at grade 4 or above is desirable.
Your next steps...
Upon completion, you could progress onto the Professional Cookery Level 3 Diploma, the Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership or the Patisserie and Confectionary Level 3 Diploma.
Alternatively, you could also go on to gain employment in the catering and hospitality industry. You could become a Commis Chef or a Catering Assistant.
