Course Summary
This practice-led course is the perfect introduction to theatre and filmmaking – both in front and behind the lens. Film and TV encompasses a wide range of artistic mediums and is led by award-winning actors, teachers, dramaturgs and filmmakers. Project-based learning enables students to explore their interests, develop their expertise and build a portfolio of work which leads to professional careers in a range of creative industries.
Students on the Film and TV: Cinematography and Performance course pathway will gain the
following qualifications (equivalent to 4 A Levels):
• UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing & Production Arts (Drama & Production Arts)
• A Level Drama & Theatre Studies

Entry requirements
Entry to CAPA College requires a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C/level 4 or above, to be confirmed in writing by the applicant’s current school on enrolment day. This needs to include grades C or Level 4 and above in GCSE English and GCSE Maths. In exceptional circumstances a student with a D grade or Level 3 in either GCSE English or GCSE Maths (but not both) may be accepted. Arts specific qualifications and/or previous formal experience are not necessarily required to successfully gain a place at CAPA College.
Instead, in the application process each applicant will be looked at closely for evidence of passion, aptitude and the potential to make the most of their time with CAPA College.

CAPA College provides students with intensive full-time practical training alongside the rigour of academic Arts study. This combination of professional training and academia ensures that students develop the skills, training, experience, knowledge, understanding and qualifications to progress to higher education. This training is an excellent platform for students to progress on to studying at vocational Arts conservatoires or universities or go straight into Arts based employment.
