Course Summary

This apprenticeship is ideally suited for individuals who are interested in working in a pub, bar, restaurant or hotel as waiting staff, silver service Hospitality team members work in varied settings like bars, restaurants, cafes, hotels and conference centres. Despite typically specialising in one area, they must be adaptable and support team members across different functions.

All units in their qualification are mandatory, covering roles such as food and beverage service, alcoholic beverage service, barista, food production, concierge and guest service, housekeeping, reception, reservations, and conference and events operations.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will be assessed by your assessor using a portfolio of evidence, observations in the workplace and assignments. For your technical certificate you will sit a number of on-line tests. You will be assessed both in college and in your place of work.

Entry requirements

Three GCSEs at grade A* to D, including English at grade 3 or above

You need to be employed within a hospitality or catering setting or have an employer in this area willing to take you on as an apprentice
