Course Summary
The level 1 Diploma aims to develop learners’ knowledge and awareness of health, social care and children’s and young people’s settings. You will gain an understanding of aspects of working in health & social care and early years and childcare. You will complete a portfolio of all knowledge gained throughout the course.

The course is free to 16-19 year old learners. A bursary to assist with travel and day to day costs may be awarded dependent on circumstances.

You need to show you have an interest in working with children and young people in an educational setting. You will also work towards progressing to gain further qualifications within English and maths. Your current qualifications will determine the level on which you can start.
