Course Summary

This qualification aims to develop a student's knowledge, understanding and skills of the principles of IT and Global Information Systems. You will gain an insight into the IT sector as you investigate the pace of technological change, IT infrastructure, the flow of information on a global scale, and the importance of legal and security considerations. Designed in collaboration with experts spanning the breadth of the sector including Cisco, Naace, IBM, BT and Barclays, the Level 3 Cambridge Technical in IT focuses on the requirements that today's universities and employers demand.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Two written Exams and three Centre Assessed and Externally Moderated units

Entry requirements

5 or more standard GCSE passes or higher (grade 4 or higher) including GCSE Maths and either English Language or English Literature at a grade 4 or above. If a student is applying for a course in a subject that they have studied at GCSE it is expected that a student would have achieved at least a standard pass (grade 4) in this subject.
