Course Summary

This programme is designed to equip learners with the knowledge required at all levels to start your career in Hairdressing. It offers an exciting range of units for you to study in our modern well-equipped salons, supported by our team of highly skilled, highly qualified tutors. This course will assist learners with confidence, communication skills and prepare them for working life.

Course Details

This study programme will cover a range of the topics and units at each level, some of which are listed below, including Health and Safety at all levels:

Develop and maintain effectiveness at work

Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp

Cut hair using basic techniques

Colour and Lighten

Style set and dress hair

Advise and consult with client

Plait and twist hair

Optional units to be confirmed.


How will it be delivered and assessed?

Ongoing formative practical assessment. Will need to produce a portfolio, undergo continual practical assessments, Written and online exams throughout the year, mandatory work placement.


Entry requirements

Relevant Level 2 Diploma plus GCSE English and/or Maths at Grade 4.
