Have you ever wondered over physical phenomena such as volcanoes and glacier formation or social issues such as migration, inequality and diseases epidemics? Are you motivated by environmental issues such as deforestation, climate change and reducing carbon emissions? If so, our Geography course is designed for you. As well as these themes, you will develop a wide range of skills from map skills, data presentation and analysis through graphical techniques and statistical tests and constructing essays that debate geographical issues.

Steve Brace from the Royal Geographic Society has described the national statistics which show undergraduate geographers are more likely to enjoy and complete their degree and that geographers experience above average rates of graduate employment and earnings. In short, he states "Geography is the subject that is not only relevant to the real world, but also one you are more likely to enjoy, secure a job through and earn a reasonable wage with."

This course is linear and will be fully examined at the end of the two year course.

The College gives priority to its 11 partner schools. Places are offered to other applicants on a competitive basis.

All prospective students will be required to achieve a minimum of grade 4 in GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics, and a minimum of grade 6 in three GCSE subjects.
