Sick of sitting in a classroom all day? This course is designed for you.
Based entirely on a working farm, this hands-on programme is perfect for learners who want to build confidence, gain practical skills, and work towards recognised qualifications—all while being outdoors.
Course Details
You will work with animals, grow crops, build and repair farm structures, and carry out real-life tasks that develop your independence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Alongside your farm-based training, you will also work towards:
• A Level 1 qualification in vocational skills or land-based studies
• Stepping stone qualifications or GCSE Maths and Englishat a level that is right for you — all taught through practical, real-world tasks (no boring whiteboards!)

You will have practical and ongoing assessments throughout the year.
Maths and English assessments will differ depending on the qualification which is most suitable.
Entry requirements
You must be aged 16-18 years old or 16-24 years if you hold an EHCP.
There are no entry requirements to be able to study this course.
If you do not hold English and Maths qualifications prior to starting this course, then you will study these as part of your programme.
