Course Summary

People employed in the engineering sector need to keep their skills up to date, while new entrants require the underpinning knowledge and specific techniques to meet the needs of modern industry. This course will develop your engineering skills and a range of personal skills that will help you to succeed in your working life.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

All units in this qualification are internally assessed and subject to external standards verification.

The qualification and units are graded Pass/Merit/Distinction


Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade A* - C in Maths, English and two Sciences.

Or

An appropriate Level 2 qualification plus Level 2 English and Maths.

Further Study: BTEC Higher National Certificate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or another discipline HNC/HND.
