Course Summary
The department teaches the AQA specification in A Level Biology.
The courses have some compulsory practical work, including the requirement to carry out tissue dissection and to participate in fieldwork.
We have found that students not doing A Level Mathematics generally get a lower than expected Biology grade. It is for this reason that we strongly advise students not taking A Level Mathematics to take the one year Core Maths course to help them with their mathematical skills.
