Course Summary

This course offers exciting opportunities for a range of degrees and subsequent careers in the health sector such as nursing, midwifery or other NHS related degree courses.

Our students often find that health education and social care degrees offer the best opportunity to work in the community and on successful completion of this course, you can automatically progress on to the Foundation Degree in Health and Wellbeing at Wakefield College. Choosing this course may help you gain the voluntary or professional experience in a health related environment which must be achieved prior to your UCAS application being sent in the following autumn term.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Assessment takes place through course assignments and examinations. Each six or three credit unit at Level 3 will be graded Pass, Merit or Distinction. Healthcare Research Methods and Study Skills are ungraded units but you must achieve a pass in these units to gain the Access to HE Diploma qualification.
