Course Summary

Designed for anyone who want to achieve a full qualification in gents' barbering. The course will include professional demonstrations for all aspects of learning with the option of attending exhibitions and shows in Manchester, Blackpool, Birmingham and London.

Course Details

The course will cover Barbering services in theory and practice and will include the following units: -

Working in the hair industry

Follow health and safety practice in the salon

Client consultation for hair services

Shampoo and condition the hair and scalp

Promote products and services to clients in a salon

Cut men's hair

Cut facial hair

Styling men's hair

How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will need to produce a portfolio of evidence and will be continually assessed throughout in both practical and theory sessions

Entry requirements

A GCSE grade 4 (new grade C) for English and Maths or Level 1 qualification and successful interview.
