These fees relate to 2022/2023 Tuition Fees £1,100.00 Additional costs will be incurred where students exceed the 8 months duration. Any student registered with an Awarding Body who has been given free entry and subsequently withdraws or is withdrawn by a tutor will incur the certification fee associated with the course. Different fees apply to international/overseas students and those studying this qualification as a standalone course. Course Summary

This course has been designed for supervisors who want to motivate their team and achieve targets, in particular those with some authority for managing resources.

Students will develop the essential core knowledge and skills necessary to be an effective supervisor or team leader in the modern business world.

Learners will evidence their competence in carrying out the tasks and assessments required as part of their day to day job role.

Communicate Work Related Information

Lead and Manage a Team

Principles of Team Leading

Understand Business

Students can then choose to study other topics relevant to their work role from a diverse range of optional units.


How will it be delivered and assessed?

Competency units will be assessed via the collation of a portfolio of evidence to meet assessment criteria. Evidence could include reflective accounts, professional discussions, witness testimonies, photographs, and work product evidence such as minutes, reports, emails, and procedures. Knowledge units are assessed via written assignments, workbooks, and professional discussion.

Entry requirements

English and Maths at Level 2 (Level 2 FS or GCSE Grade C or above / 4 or above).

Where the applicant does not meet the course entry requirements - Level 2 or GCSE qualification at grade C/4 or above in maths and/or English, entry will be considered on successful completion of the Introduction to Business Course Level 1.

You must be employed in a team leading role at the appropriate level to enable you to provide evidence of competency in the units identified above. An initial assessment with an advisor will determine your suitability for the course.


Your next steps...

Successful candidates at Level 2, may progress on to the combined qualification at Level 3 or a higher level QCF S/NVQ – either in management or a related occupational area. This is subject to students meeting appropriate national occupational standards.
