Course Summary

This unit is designed for those people who have completed the Level 1 diploma course. They will specialise in mechanical skills, looking at all aspects of the motorcycle. They will require the knowledge gained from completing level 1 and then be able to apply this knowledge to help understand all the units involved. They will learn how to remove and replace various components on the motorcycle and how they work.

Course Details

A mixture of workshop and theory sessions as well as working towards achieving Maths and English if they haven’t achieved a Grade 4 in the subjects.

Health and Safety

Engine Systems

Steering/Suspension

Electrics


How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will be assessed through practical tasks in the workshops and completion of portfolio work and end of unit online exams.

Entry requirements

Minimum Grade of a 3 in Maths and English and Level 1 qualification in automotive.
