Course Summary

This unit is designed for those people who have completed the Level 2 certificate course. They will specialise in Motorcycle skills, looking at all aspects of the motorcycle. They will build on the knowledge gained from Level 2, applying this knowledge to help understand all the units involved. They will learn how to fault find and diagnose simple faults.


Course Details

A mixture of workshop and theory sessions

Units include:

  • Health and Safety
  • Transmission
  • Engines
  • Customer needs


How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will be assessed through practical tasks in the workshops and completion of portfolio work and end of unit online exams.


Entry requirements

GCSE Grade 9-4, including English and Maths.

AND

A Level 2 Certificate qualification.


Your next steps...

After successful completion of the course, you could go on to study the NVQ Level 3 in Motorcycle Maintenance & Repair or look for an advanced apprenticeship, both subject to suitable employment being found.
