Overview

This qualification provides an opportunity to study a range of topics from three main areas; childcare and education, babysitting and parenting responsibilities. This course also covers early years foundations stage framework guidance and development and play opportunities.

Work placement is mandatory, 75 hours minimum flexible to fit in with study. The course requires to complete a maximum of 37 credits To achieve the diploma

Work will be assessed by a range of different methods such as; course work, placement completion and oral questioning.

Entry requirements

Must be aged 16-19 (or 25 with an EHCP). 

Must show that they want to go into this sector of work.
