A Level Chemistry will allow you to build on and develop skills of GCSE. You will deepen your understanding of higher level concepts
Details
In year 1 you will look at:
Organic, Inorganic and Physical Chemistry. In year 2 you will concentrate on the development of skills in year 1 applying your knowledge to practical sessions and your final exams.
How will it be delivered?
As with all of our A Level courses Chemistry will be delivered in 6 hours per week or teaching time. It is strongly suggested that you spend an additional 3-4 hours per week of independent work and research towards this qualification. In addition you will have to complete 12 required practicals. There will be three final exams.
Entry requirements
Grade 6 in two single science GCSEs (including Chemistry) or grade 66 in GCSE Combined Science. A grade 6 in Maths and grade 5 in English would also be advantageous.
