Overview
The A level Mathematics course builds on the skills, knowledge and techniques you have studied at GCSE. You will develop your understanding of processes that compliment your other level 3 courses. You will use argument and reasoning together with mathematical language to examine higher-level concepts. You will study topics from the fields of pure, mechanics and statistics.

The course includes three exams. The first two include questions about an array of concepts including:
- Proof
- Algebra and functions
- Differentiation
- Kinematics
- Forces and Newtons laws
- Moments
How will it be delivered?
As with all of our A Level courses Maths will be delivered in 6 hours per week of teaching time. It is strongly suggested that you spend an additional 3-4 hours per week of independent work and research towards this qualification.
Entry requirements
Due to the academic demands of this course, you will need a minimum of a grade 6 in GCSE Maths to access this course

Students who are successful on this course access degrees at many universities including Russell group. Our students have also used this qualification to access higher level and degree apprenticeships. Students form UTC have been successful in achieving Careers in Engineering, research and science.
