This fascinating course will see you combining practical techniques to develop the essential technical skills you’ll need to pursue a career in Photography. You will explore a range of photographical concepts through the critical analysis of a variety of famous photographers and images.
You will develop your skills through a range of topics including:
• Studio and creative lighting
• Traditional and digital photography
Under the guidance of our subject specialists, you will research contextual sources, develop ideas and experiment with different media within our specialist facilities. We have outstanding learning spaces, including an onsite Photography Studio.
You will grow your skills through a range of personal projects which will develop your technical skills and ability to respond to a brief, idea or concept in the medium of photography.

Grade 4 in GCSE Photography or a relevant GCSE Art subject. If students have not taken a GCSE Art subject, then a portfolio of work will be considered. General entry criteria will also apply, this is available on our website.
