Some of the areas you will study include:
Level 3 - You will create a series of game projects with each project developing specific game development skills and processes. Alongside this you will explore the different requirements for successful employment within the Games Industry.
Most employers are looking for ability in these areas and the majority of university courses require you to have good Maths and English GCSEs, which is why the development of these skills are so important, whatever your field of study.
How will it be delivered?
You will be assessed through assignments and practical project work that count towards your final grade. Your tutor will provide regular feedback and maintain a record of assessment. All student work may be externally verified.
4 GCSEs at 9-4 including English and Maths
4 GCSEs at 9-4 plus Level 2 Functional Skills in either English or Maths, and Grade 3 or Level 1 Functional Skills in the other
A relevant Level 2 qualification at Merit grade, plus GCSE English or Maths at grade 4, plus Level 1 or Level 2 English or Maths
Your next steps...
On completion with the appropriate pass and English and maths grades, you can progress through the levels.
You could progress onto higher education courses in Computer Games Design or Development, Animation, Digital Graphics, Web Design and Multimedia.
